Lindsay Martin has a short film in the Seattle Center's NEXT50 exhibit: Looking Forward: The New Heroes. As part of the Seattle Center's NEXT50 celebration, photographer Davis Freeman created an installation of photographs, video, and written word about 15 young social entrepreneurs. Videographers Lindsay Martin (Director/ Editor) and Noah Dassel (DP) created a short film profiling the incredible work of those entrepreneurs. Check it out now through October at the International Fountain Pavilion in the Seattle Center.

Kris and Lindy Boustedt will present their feature film, This is Ours, to Hollywood audience. THIS IS OURS will have its World Premiere at the 15th annual Dances with Film Festival, May 31 thru June 7th at the world-famous Chinese Theatres in Los Angeles. Selected from more than 1400 festival submissions, This is Ours explores the heartbreaking and life-changing journey two very different couples take when beaten by the American Dream. Written, directed and produced by the Boustedts, a married filmmaking couple, This is Ours stars local actors Karie Gonia, Ernie Joseph, Wonder Russell, and Mark Carr. The film was shot on location in Eastern Washington.
Dances with Films is the sole film festival in the U.S. that showcases only low-budget, bona fide independent films with no stars in front or behind the camera. The festival typically attracts 6,000 to 7,000 patrons during the week and includes an awards ceremony. www.danceswithfilms.com

Jennifer Jones produced, filmed, and edited a short documentary film for Pierce County, Troubled Waters, a story of homeowners trapped in the floodway and how the FEMA flood buyout program has become a lifeline for them. Kaitlyn Summerill directed and edited Shed No Tears, a film documenting the lives of child trafficking victims in Benin. Shed No Tears had its festival debut at Artivist Film Festival in 2011 and went on to win Best Documentary at the Global Community Film Festival in Toronto and is an official selection at the Unspoken Human Rights Film Festival.
