The friendship and support of professional women involved in the same creative pursuit is a powerful thing. For me, that's the heart of Women in Film. My personal and professional life has been greatly enhanced through the relationships that continue to emerge from this amazing organization.

Mission Statement

We are passionate about our vision to empower, promote, support and mentor members through a network of valuable programs, contacts and events. Year-round activities will be available, from inspiring screenings to motivating workshops and seminars.

Our programs include the PSA Production Program and the Nell Shipman Awards ceremony. We offer scholarships and grants to help members along their path, and throughout the year hold member meetings to stimulate creativity and give input to the chapter's direction.

Women in Film/Seattle has been serving Seattle women since 1990 and is one of the 40 chapters of Women in Film and Television (WIFTI). WIFTI is a global network with over 10,000 members dedicated to advancing professional development and achievement for women working in the entertainment industries.
